A safe space for introverted teens to find their people
A weekly connection group for high school kids who are thoughtful, observant, and quietly capable, and want to feel less alone. Fun activities, real conversation, and genuine friendships. Facilitated by Max Parrella, an expert adolescent psychotherapist on Chicago’s North Shore.
Does this sound like your teen?
They’re intelligent, thoughtful, and observant. But socially, they hold back. They eat lunch with one friend or alone. They avoid speaking up even when they know the answer. They come home drained and retreat to their room. They’ve declined invitations so many times that the invitations stopped coming.
They are probably just introverted. And introversion is an excellent foundation to build on. Your teen does not need a social skills class or a diagnosis. They simply need a safe space to connect with other teens who will give them a chance to show their true personality.
What is the Teen Introverts Social Group
A weekly gathering of 6 high school students who share the same experience: being quiet, capable people in a world that often rewards the loudest voice. Each week is built around genuine human connection and a fun, positive experience – no worksheets, no role-plays, no on-the-spot icebreakers.
Sessions include a mix of socializing with safe facilitation, fun games and group activities, and opportunities for deep, authentic connection with other introverts. Your teen will experience what it feels like to be truly understood, and discover that meaningful friendships don’t require being the loudest person in the room.
Over time, teens go from “I don’t know what to say” to “I have people who get me.” The friendships that form and blossom outside of the group come free!
What your teen will experience
SAFE, FACILITATED SOCIALIZING
Your teen connects with a small group of peers who share their experience, guided by an expert licensed therapist who creates a judgment-free environment where being quiet is understood, not something to overcome.
FUN GAMES & GROUP ACTIVITIES
Sessions are engaging, not solely clinical. Through collaborative games, creative activities, and shared experiences, group members naturally practice connection while genuinely enjoying themselves. No one is put on the spot.
DEEP CONNECTION WITH OTHER INTROVERTS
The most powerful part: realizing you’re not alone. Teens build authentic friendships with peers who truly understand them, often for the first time. Many describe it as “finally finding my people.”
